Some releases you can describe in advance. This isn’t one of them. Hirose is 33, six years married, lives in Tokyo, and within about thirty seconds of meeting her on camera you understand why the crew threw out whatever plan they had and just followed where she led.

The Tokyo Wakadzuma series profiles young married women living in Tokyo, and vol. 017 is comfortably one of the most memorable entries the series has produced. Hirose is ostensibly a full-time housewife — though she’ll be the first to tell you the domestic side of that arrangement is not exactly her strong suit. The opening interview runs longer than usual and is genuinely entertaining: she’s quick, self-aware, completely unfiltered, and has an almost comedic lack of embarrassment about anything.
The wealthy-wife energy is real, not performed. She’s well-dressed, well-maintained, clearly lives comfortably, and has the kind of easy confidence that comes from never having worried too much about what anyone thinks of her. The contrast between her polished presentation and the things that come out of her mouth is most of the humor in the opening section — and there’s a lot of it.
Physically, she’s a standout even within a series that tends to cast well. Large, natural, soft — the kind of figure that commands attention immediately and delivers on whatever the camera implies. The 95-minute runtime is used generously, with an extended lead-in that actually earns the payoff rather than just padding toward it.
What makes Hirose genuinely different from most amateur-format performers is that she’s the one driving the energy, not responding to it. She’s assertive in a way that feels completely natural rather than performed — this is clearly just how she is. That dynamic makes the entire release feel different from a typical entry in this format, where the performer is usually more reactive.

正直な感想
The humor-heavy opening interview sets a very specific tone — this release leans into Hirose’s personality as much as anything else, and if you’re coming purely for the physical content and want to skip straight to it, the pacing may feel slow early on. The documentary format also means one location, natural lighting, no elaborate production design.
At 95 minutes it’s one of the longer entries in this series, which is mostly a plus, though the middle section could have been tightened slightly without losing anything important.

If you find most amateur-format releases too passive — where the performer waits to be directed and the energy only goes one way — Hirose is the direct answer to that. She’s funny, she’s forward, she’s physically exceptional, and she makes 95 minutes feel like it goes by faster than it should.
Fans of the Tokyo Wakadzuma series who haven’t caught vol. 017 yet: this is the one people will point to when recommending the series to someone new. And if you’ve never watched a Wakadzuma title before, this is a very good place to start.
